Obituary for Dale C. Angell

Dale C. Angell, 68, of Normal, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at his home.

He was born October 12, 1950 in Pana, son of Andrew and Juanita Chamness Angell. He married Deborah “Debbie” Benz on May 27, 1970 in Rockford, she preceded him in death on July 28, 2017.

Surviving are his sons, Eric Angell of Bloomington and Jason (Chris Allen) Angell of Danvers and two grandchildren, Jake Angell and Lindsay Allen, both of Danvers. Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Linda (Michael) Mesch and Margaret Spriggs, both of Bloomington; a nephew, Chris LaFever; two nieces, Jennifer (James) Crow and Kelly Mesch and three great-nephews, Spencer, Parker and Tanner Crow.

He attended Rock Valley College, Rockford before joining the United States Army, where he was stationed in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dale was a tool and die maker, working at General Electric, Eureka Williams and retiring from Eaton Company in Lincoln in 2016.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Chicago Bears, shopping at flea markets and antiquing.
There will be no services or visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ruby’s Rescue and Retreat, 4035 County Road 600 North, McLean, IL 61754.
