Vicky K. Barton Obituary (1952 - 2019)

Vicky K. Barton, 67, of Normal, passed away at 1:00 a.m., Friday, November 15, 2019 at her home. Her funeral will be at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 20 at Northside Church of Christ, Bloomington with Rev. Gary Gawlik officiating. Burial will be in Hartsburg Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 19 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to the Rocky Mountain Conservancy. Vicky was born January 24, 1952 in Clinton, the daughter of John E. and Billye Hoffman Wainwright. She married Gary L. Barton on September 8, 1973 in Decatur. He survives. Also surviving are three children, Tim Barton of Hopedale, Megan (Steve) Castleman of Hudson and Abby Barton of Normal; her mother, Billye Wainwright of Decatur, four grandchildren, Jacob and Caden Castleman, Kaylee Barton and Ava Scott; two brothers, John (Mary) Wainwright, Jr of Decatur and Eric Wainwright of Dallas, TX; and her best friend, Carol Humphrey. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister, Judy Lofland. Vicky graduated from Lakeview High School in Decatur and was a staff member at the Jim Spachman State Farm Agency for 25 years. Vicky loved to read, flowers, Colorado, especially Rocky Mountain National Park, but most of all she loved her grandchildren.
