Andrew R. Klein Obituary (1960 - 2017)

Andrew R. Klein, 56, of Bloomington, passed away at 3:55 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2017 at his home. His celebration of life service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Eastview Christian Church, Normal, where the family will receive friends from 4-5 p.m. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with cremation arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Klein Family. He was born October 29, 1960 in Streator, a son of Roger F. and Ethelyn C. Park Klein. He married Wendy M. Bean on February 25, 1995 in Lexington. Surviving are his wife, Wendy M. Klein of Bloomington; six children, Jenna (Josh) Reschke of Geneseo, Tyler Bean-Klein and Tanner Bean-Klein, both of Normal, Drew Klein of Bloomington, Brian Klein of Colfax and Samantha Klein of Bloomington; a granddaughter, Halle Reschke and a grandson, due in April; five siblings, Alan (Michele) Klein of Morton, Marcia (Larry) Rhodes of Florida, Arthur (Faith) Klein of Magnolia, Marshall (Theresa) Klein of Urbana and Michael (Kimberly) Klein of Oakley; a brother-in-law, Ryan (Kim) Bean of Bloomington; a sister-in-law, Laura (Tim) Klatt of Bloomington; his mother-in-law, Karen Anderson of Bloomington; his father-in-law, Steve (Sharon) Bean of Pana; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister, Bridget Klein. Andy was a die-hard fan of the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed sports of any kind, and especially enjoyed watching his children participate. In his younger years, Andy played softball and later enjoyed coaching the girls summer league. A talented master of the grill, he also enjoyed his kitchen experimentsChopped style. Andy was never too busy to help someone in need and was a wonderful husband, father, papa, uncle, brother and friend.
