Betty J. Ashenbremer Obituary (1924 - 2015)

Betty J. Ashenbremer, 90, of Bloomington, passed away at 6:15 p.m., Tuesday, April 07, 2015 at Bloomington Rehabilitation Health Care in Bloomington.Her funeral will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday at St. Marys Catholic Church, Bloomington with Rev. Ric Schneider officiating. Entombment will be in Park Hill Mausoleum, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., today (4/9/15) at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with the rosary recited at 6:00 p.m.Memorials may be made to St. Marys Church in Bloomington.Betty was born October 31, 1924 in Pontiac, the daughter of Frank and Julia Hatala Lebo. She married George R. Ashenbremer, Jr. on January 6, 1947 in Bloomington. He died on July 6, 2004.She is survived by three children, Robert Ashenbremer of Heyworth, Mary Ann (Mike) Folks of Bloomington and Paul Ashenbremer of Bloomington; a daughter-in-law, Becki Ashenbremer of Bloomington; 5 grandchildren, Dawn, Aaron, Jesse, Mandy and Rob; six great grandchildren, Josh, Brandi, Deacon, Charlize, Cooper and Maddy; and a brother, Herbert Lebo of Pontiac.She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Ashenbremer in 2013, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.Betty graduated from Pontiac High School. She worked for Nestle Beich in Bloomington for over 30 years as a bookkeeper. She and her husband George enjoyed camping and traveling extensively throughout the United States.Betty was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Bloomington and was devoted to her Catholic faith. She had a deep love for nature and was a kind, outgoing person.Betty was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.The family would like to thank all the caregivers during Bettys final years.
