Beulah M. Thompson Obituary (1918 - 2015)

Beulah M. Thompson, 96, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:25 a.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal.Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Historic St. Patricks Catholic Church in Bloomington with Rev. Jeffery J. Windy officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the church. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is in charge of arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donors choice.Beulah was born May 1, 1918 in Shelby County, Illinois, a daughter of Henry and Josephine McNally Quicksall. She married Raymond W. Thompson on June 30, 1945 in Normal and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2012.She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Erickson, Hazel Kessler and Grace Goddard; and one brother, Minor Quicksall.Beulah and her husband enjoyed hiking. They hiked the Muir trail in California and the Pacific Coast trail in Washington. In addition to traveling to all 50 states, they traveled in 60 countries of the world. For thirty winters, Apache Junction, Arizona was their home.
