Carol Anne Reitan Obituary (1930 - 2014)

Carol Anne Reitan devoted wife, mother and community leader passed away Monday May 12th.She was born October 25th, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to Emil and Carolyn Rylander. Carol Anne attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and moved to Normal, Illinois in 1955. In 1956 she married Earl Reitan, who survives.She left behind two children, Thomas Reitan (Leslie) of Chagrin Falls, Ohio and Julia Reitan (Stan Kaufman) of San Francisco, California; and two grandchildren, William Reitan and Mary Reitan, both of Chagrin Falls, Ohio.A Memorial Service will be held at the Carol A. Reitan Conference Center in Normal, Illinois on June 13th from 4:30-7:30pm.Donations in Carols honor can be made to Heartland Theatre, Neville House, Collaborative Solutions Institute, Illinois Prairie Community Foundation or a charity of choice.
