Catherine A. Queen Obituary (1959 - 2022)

Catherine A. Queen, 62, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:19 p.m., Tuesday May 24, 2022 at her home. Her memorial service will be at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington with Rev. Charles Ahrens officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice. Catherine was born November 6, 1959 in Bloomington, the daughter of Joseph and Darlene Spaid Solomon. She married Dale V. Queen on May 15, 1982 in Bloomington. He preceded her in death. Survivors include a son, Christopher (Charlotte) Solomon of Bloomington, a granddaughter, Macy Solomon; three step-children, Heide Smart, Donnie Queen and Dale Queen, Jr., all of Ohio; a sister, Jolene Hart of Arizona; and two brothers, Michael (Kathy) Solomon of Tennessee and David Solomon of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Her parents preceded her in death. Catherine graduated from Normal Community High School and had worked at Country Companies. She was faithful, a member of Park United Methodist Church and loved her cats. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
