Catherine E. Cleary Obituary (1943 - 2019)

Catherine E. Cleary, 75, of Normal, formerly of Chenoa, passed away at 3:22 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at her home. Her funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Epiphany Catholic Church, Normal, with Rev. Joseph Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday at Calvary Cemetery, Chenoa. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Loaves & Fishes Soup Kitchen, c/o St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington or a charity of the donor's choice. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Patrick and Ralph and two sisters, Mary E. Bean and Dorothy Collins Shoemaker. Surviving are one sister, Margaret (Harvey) Walter of Bloomington; one brother, Michael (Leslie) Cleary of Harrison, AR and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she adored. Catherine was a 1961 graduate of Chenoa High School. She retired from Illinois State University, where she worked with student accounts.
