Cathi Richter Obituary (1960 - 2016)

Cathi Richter, 56, of Towanda, passed away at 5:05 a.m. on Monday, May 23, 2016 at her home.Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Historic St. Patricks Church, Bloomington, the Rev. Jeffery Windy officiating. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where there will be a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.. She married Steven J. Richter on February 25, 1989 in Bloomington.Surviving are her husband, Steven, of Towanda; her mother, Julia Jenness of Marshall; two sisters, Vicki (Floyd) Parr of Danville and Jonni (Clifford) Turner of Marshall and one brother, Brent Jenness of Lafayette, IN.She was preceded in death by her father.Cathi graduated as Valedictorian of her class at Chrisman HIgh School. In 1983, she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from St. Louis College of Pharmacy.She enjoyed her career as a Pharmacist at Osco on Oakland Avenue and also at Illinois State University Student Pharmacy.Cathi also enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Pankaj Kumar and the staff at Illinois Cancer Care for their care and attention to Cathi and her family.
