Cheryl Lynn McCall Obituary (1963 - 2015)

Cheryl Lynn McCall, 52, of Bloomington, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, August 2, 2015 at her home.Her memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2015 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A private family service will be held.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chrons and Colitis Foundation of America or to the James Taber Endowment Fund for science education at Central Catholic High School.She was born January 4, 1963, a daughter of Edward and June Johnson Feth. She married William J. McCall on August 24, 1985 at the chapel on the campus of Illinois State University. He survives.Also surviving are her children, Kevin McCall and Karin McCall, both of Bloomington; her mother, June Feth of Park Ridge; three siblings, Jim Feth, Sue Feth and Nancy Feth, all of Park Ridge; and an uncle, Harry Johnson of Chicago.She was preceded in death by her father.Cheryl graduated from Maine South High School in Park Ridge, where she was a gifted oboe player and enjoyed her time in the marching band. She graduated from Illinois State University where she was active in student government. Cheryl taught at Central Catholic High School for the last twelve years and was immensely proud of the many former students who, long after graduation, would return to visit in her classroom or her home.She loved the Beatles and working with her hands, especially while gardening or doing arts and crafts.
