Christie A. Reniche Obituary (1955 - 2016)

Christie A. Reniche, 60, of Bloomington, passed away at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at Heritage Health, Normal.Her memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 25, 2016 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday, July 25, 2016 at the Calvary Cemetery in Mattoon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the OSF St. Joseph Foundation.Christie was born November 4, 1955 at the Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, a daughter of Jack Richard and Mary Margaret Timmons Reniche.Surviving are a sister, Theresa Terri (Vern) Speicker of Normal; a brother, James Reniche of Normal; a niece, Jennifer N. Speicker; a nephew, Scott A. (Elizabeth) Speicker; and a great-nephew, Chance Speicker.She was preceded in death by her parents.Christie earned a bachelors degree in Library Science with a minor in Political Science at Illinois State University in 1977. She subsequently earned a bachelors degree in Finance with an emphasis in Insurance from ISU in 2002. Christie spent many years working at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center as an administrative assistant where she later served as a volunteer. She enjoyed scrapbooking, making cards, travel, teas and wearing Victorian and Edwardian dresses.Christie was a loving sister who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
