Corey Lee Schopp Obituary (1988 - 2018)

Corey Lee Schopp, 29, of Bloomington, passed away at 11:32 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at his home. His funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Mary's Church in Downs, with Rev. Dustin Schultz officiating. Interment will immediately follow services at Hopewell Cemetery in Downs. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. He was born September 12, 1988 in Normal, son of Michael Lee and Melinda Dee Beck Schopp. Surviving are his parents, of Heyworth; four sons, Landen of Heyworth, Emmett, Elliott and Everett, all of Normal. Also surviving are his girlfriend, Sage McCracken of Normal and his brother, Dustin Schopp of Downs. Corey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lyle and Dorothy Schopp and maternal grandparents, Warner and Nina Beck. He was an active member at Cedar Lake Fellowship in Bloomington. Corey worked as a mechanic in the Bloomington-Normal area. He enjoyed spending his time outdoors; hunting, fishing and camping, but his greatest enjoyment came with spending time with his children.
