Harold L. Hardesty, 74, formerly of Danvers, died at 10:50 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014 at Heritage Health in Normal.A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday (10-3-2014) at St. Marys Church, Bloomington, with Rev. Ric Schneider officiating. Inurnment will immediately follow services at Park Hill Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday (10-2-2014) at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home. Cremation rites will be accorded after the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude-Midwest Affiliate or the Alzheimers Association. Hill on February 23, 1963 in Bloomington.Surviving are his wife, Lois, of Normal; three sons, Bart (Lisa) Hardesty of Glen Ellyn, Brad Hardesty of San Francisco, CA and Brent Hardesty of Chicago and two grandchildren, Quinn and Katie Hardesty of Glen Ellyn. Also surviving are two brothers, Wayne Hardesty of Bloomington and Clet (Marylin) Hardesty of LeRoy and four sisters, Wilma Garrison of Bloomington, Juanita (Joe) Rutledge of Heyworth, Rena Hodges and Dorothy Peasley, both of Bloomington.He was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister and one infant sister.Harold retired as a sheet metal worker and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #1.He enjoyed spending his time with his family, woodworking and taking care of the lawn.
