James R. Green Obituary (1928 - 2016)

James R. Green, 87, of Bloomington, died 2:40 p.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 at Lincoln Christian Village, Lincoln, IL.There will be no services or visitation. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is handling the cremation arrangements.He was born November 2, 1928 in Kenosha, WI, son of Thomas and Minnie Dreifke Green. He married Betty Jane Sonnenberg, she preceded him in death in 2013. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Green in 1992 and ten siblings.Surviving are one daughter, Sandra (Ed) Mueller of Bloomington and one son, James (Tammy) Green of St. John, IN and two grandchildren, Hannah and Jacob Green.Jim worked as a director for ESDA (Emergency Services Disaster Agency) for many years until his retirement.
