Jane D. Rettick, 83, of Homosassa, FL, formerly of Bloomington, IL, passed away at 1:23 p.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at HPH Hospice Citrus Care Center in Lecanto, FL.Her funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, where visitation will be one hour prior to services. Entombment will be at Park Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Bloomington, immediately following services. She married James R. Rettick on January 3, 1955 in Canton, OH.Surviving are her husband, Jim, of Homosassa, FL; her children, Mary Lou Rettick, John (Lynda) Rettick and Jim (Karen) Rettick, all of Bloomington. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Jenny (Brandon) West, Matt (Jackie) Rettick, Sara Rettick, Jimmy Rettick, Doug Hartley and Tony Rettick and four great-grandchildren, Jacob Gabe Rosenberg, Alex West and Evalynn Rettick.She was preceded in death by her parents.Jane was a 1951 graduate of Bloomington High School and she attended Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, where she was a life-long member of the Sigma Alpha Iota Sorority.She was a member of Sugarmill Woods Country Club in Homosassa, FL. Jane also enjoyed flowers, music and watching the Chicago Bulls, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family.
