Joanne E. Etherton Obituary (1937 - 2018)

Joanne E. Etherton, 80, of Bloomington, passed away at 7:40 p.m. on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Heritage Health in Normal. Services will be private, per Joanne's wishes. Cremation rites have been accorded by Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. To express condolences online, please visit www.carmodyflynn.com. She was born September 2, 1937 in Clinton, daughter of Joseph M. and Gednah Ferguson Crosno. She married Donald D. Etherton, he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Martin on April 29, 2017. Surviving are one son, Don Etherton of Bloomington and one brother, Phil Crosno of Salinas, CA. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Miel (Francisco) Diaz, Joli (Steve) Danison, Kier Hughes, Ciel (Sean) McNamara, Gabriel Masters, Joe Etherton and Jacqulyn Etherton and 13 great-grandchildren. Joanne enjoyed working as a secretary at State Farm Insurance Company for over 30 years before retiring.
