Jon D. "JD" Hinrichs Obituary (1937 - 2019)

Jon D. Hinrichs, 82, of Bloomington, passed away at 12:08 a.m. Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Heritage Health, Normal. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 13, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bloomington. Burial will be in Funks Grove Cemetery, Funks Grove. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, January 12, 2019 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ducks Unlimited. He was born December 19, 1937 in Gibson City, a son of John and Alice Brucker Hinrichs. He married Mary Lou Lardinois on January 30, 1960 in Sibley and she preceded him in death on April 14, 2011 after 50 years of marriage. Surviving are two daughters, Patty (Travis) Meserole of Normal and Nancy (Jim Langer) Hinrichs of Villa Park; seven grandchildren, Kristin (Doug) McGinnis, Brian LaManna, Bradley Meserole, Dylan Meserole, Andrew Langer, Blake Meserole and Caroline Langer. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Betsy LaManna; a brother, James Hinrichs; and a sister, Marian Hinrichs. He graduated from Sibley High School in 1955. JD was an investment analyst for State Farm Insurance Companies, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service.
