Joshua Michael Schultz, 28, of Lexington, passed away at 6:25 a.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at his home.A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal with Rev. Dan Jassman officiating. Carmody-Flynn Williamsburg Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Donate Life Illinois.Those who are unable to express condolences online are encouraged to write down a special memory and forward it to the family c/o Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home 1800 Eastland Dr, Bloomington, IL 61704.Joshua was born on December 3, 1985 in Normal, the son of Michael and Kimberley McConnell Schultz.Survivors include his mother, Kimberley (Jason) McHenry of Normal, his father, Michael Schultz of Lexington; a brother, Jason (Michelle Hoyt) Schultz of Normal; his maternal grandmother, Gloria McConnell of Bloomington and his paternal step grandparents, Dan and Cheryl McHenry of Colfax.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John McConnell; his paternal grandparents, Calvin and Joyce Schultz and two cousins, James Altshue and Adam Kopplin. Joshua attended Normal Community West High School and received his associated degree from Heartland Community College. He was currently attending Illinois State University. He truly enjoyed school and had aspirations of becoming a drug counselor.Joshua loved music, the Chicago Bulls, animals, but most of all, spending time with his family.
