Justin T. Hines Obituary (1986 - 2014)

Justin T. Hines, 28, of Pekin, passed away at 7:30 pm December 24th at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria.Justins celebration of life will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Eastview Christian Church in Normal. Pastor Mark Warren will be officiating. Visitation will be at Carmody Flynn Funeral Home in Bloomington on Sunday from 3:00-5:00 p.m. Interment will be at East Lawn Memorial Gardens in Bloomington following services.Memorials can be made in memory of Justin to the Tazewell County Resource Center (TCRC), 21310 Illinois Route 9, Tremont, IL 61568.Justin was born on June 7, 1986 in Wadsworth, Ohio, the son of Tim and Wendy Thompson Hines.Surviving are his parents of Bloomington and three brothers, Matthew of Chicago, Jonathan and Nathaniel, both of Bloomington, as well as his grandparents, Dr. Lowell and Carmen Thompson of Bloomington. Also surviving are two aunts and uncles, Laurie and Greg Merriman of Towanda and Michelle and Dr. Monty Peerbahi of West Lafayette, IN, three very special cousins, a niece and two nephews. Last but not least, Justins great aunt, Katherine Ball of New London, IA, who made countless trips to help care for him and his three brothers when they were young children.Justin was preceded in death by his other set of grandparents, Charles and Freda Hines (Grammy Freda).Justin (a.k.a. Justy, Just-in-time Hines, Juddy Buddy to name a few) was born with special needs but became a very special person and touched the lives of many people throughout his life. He had an infectious laugh, a constant smile on his face and never ran out of hugs and kisses for those around him. He loved spending time outside pushing his broom, throwing a basketball, playing in the leaves or helping mow the yard, sometimes three times in the same day! He spent his days at his workshop trying his best to stay out of trouble.We are especially grateful to all of his caregivers throughout the years, particularly those wonderful folks at TCRC. Justin lived in a TCRC group home over the last twelve years. His caregivers loved him dearly as he did them.We also were blessed by his physicians and nursing staff. We want to thank the staff at St. Francis Hospital and particularly the doctors and nurses at the Illinois Neurological Institute in his final days. Some of Justins organs will be donated to Gift of Hope, an organ and tissue donor network that might extend the lives of others similar to his grandparents and great grandmother that battled pancreatic cancer and heart disease.Because of Gods grace and love, we know that Justin is now in Jesus arms and praising The Lord with his war whoops in Heaven. If God gives Justin a broom, the floors will never be cleaner.
