Patricia Ann Norby Obituary (1939 - 2015)

Patricia Ann Norby, 76, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:07 a.m. Thursday, November 26, 2015 at her home.Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Burial will be in Rosewood Cemetery, Bloomington. Visitation will be from 11 am to 1 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2015 at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Central Illinois.She was born January 2, 1939 in Bloomington, a daughter of Walter and Laura Thompson Duncan. She married Louis L. Norby on March 14, 1957 in Bloomington.Surviving are her husband, Louis L. Norby of Bloomington; three children, Larry Norby, Lori Holt and Lisa (David) Goodman, all of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Jaclyn (Robert) Ware, Cody (Carole) Powell, Benjamin (Trisha) Goodman, Alicia Goodman and Dustin Norby; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Mercades and Jeremiah; two sisters-in-law, Ethel Ann Duncan and Ruth Mattingly; two uncles, Don (Betty) Thompson and Roy Robertson; and an aunt, Mary Homan;rnrnShe was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Robert Duncan; and a sister, Elizabeth Rousey.Patricia retired from Eureka Williams after thirty years of employment. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed interior decorating and collecting angels and dolls. Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.The Norby family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to OSF Hospice for the care shown to Patricia.
