Patrick A. Piehl Obituary (1970 - 2018)

Patrick A. Piehl, 47, of Bloomington, passed away at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at his home. A celebration of life gathering will be held from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded. He was born November 12, 1970 in Kankakee, son of Timothy A. and Shirley J. Brakney Piehl. He married Cassandra "Cassie" Robb on October 11, 1997. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents and one uncle, William Piehl. Surviving is his pride-and-joy, his daughter, Lily Piehl of Bloomington and her mother, Cassie Piehl of Bloomington. Also surviving are six aunts and uncles, Sharon (John) Pijan, Terry (Alice) Piehl, Polly (Fritz) Kimball, Steve (Mary) Piehl, Chris Piehl and Bonnie (Bob) Ragain; several cousins and many great friends. Patrick enjoyed singing and playing guitar and has fond memories of when he was a member of the "Yummi Sauce" band. He was also an avid fan and collector of all things Marvel. He worked as a telecommunicator for 30 years in various area agencies, the last 15 years working for the Illinois State Police. Patrick was a loving and devoted father to Lily and he will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
