Paul R. Dorethy Obituary (1937 - 2016)

Paul R. Dorethy, 79, of Chenoa, passed away at 11:31 a.m., Monday, December 5, 2016 at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal. His service will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2016 at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the charity of the donors choice. Paul was born November 29, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Paul W. and Gladys M. Mulkey Dorethy. He is survived by a brother, Donald (Helen) Dorethy of Hudson; 7 nieces and nephews, Tamara (F. Mallory) Hinklin of Grants Pass, OR, Brian (Elena) Kuhn of Miami, FL, Heather (E. Troy) Williams of Roswell, GA, Diana Dorethy of Florida, Carole Marquardt of Reidsville, NC, Connie (Larry) McNish of Sun Prairie, WI and Kenneth Blount of Groveland. Also surviving are a host of great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Alleyne Delbridge and a brother, Orville Dorethy. Paul graduated from Bradley University and served in the US Army. He was a computer programmer for Great Central Insurance Company in Peoria for many years.
