Raymond E. Staley Obituary (1948 - 2019)

Raymond E. Staley, 71, of Bloomington, passed away at 10:46 a.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at his home. His funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bloomington. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was born February 11, 1948 in Bloomington, a son of Walter S. and Grace A. Renner Staley. Surviving are two brothers, Gerald (Connie) Staley of Heyworth and Ronald (Linda) Staley of Deer Creek. He was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel Grace Staley. Ray was a longtime employee of State Farm Insurance Companies and later worked at Kroger on Oakland Avenue until fully retiring. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where he served as an usher. Ray attended St. Francis Seminary in Cincinnati, Ohio and enjoyed model trains.
