Robert P. "Bob" McClurg, 84, of Towanda, passed away at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.The family will have a Celebration of Roberts Life gathering at a later date. He married Donna M. Wissmiller on September 3, 1966 in Bloomington, she preceded him in death on May 14, 1998. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda McClurg in 1998; four grandchildren and two sisters.Surviving are his children, Joe (Beverly) McClurg of Lavergne, TN, Jim McClurg of Normal, Diane McClurg of Bloomington and Darin McClurg of Towanda and his step-son, Mike Adams of Kappa. Also surviving are three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Bob retired from TeVoert Auto Electric in Bloomington.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Meadows Mennonite Retirement Community in Chenoa and OSF St. Joseph Medical Center for the care and attention to Bob.
