Roger D. Jeans, 65, of Hudson, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Carmody-Flynn funeral Home, Bloomington. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to CISAR or the Special Olympics. Liston on April 18, 1970.Surviving are his wife, Kathy, of Hudson; four children, Michael (Regina) Jeans, Aurora, CO, Jennifer Jeans, Pearland, TX, Rebecca (Jason) Hahn, St. Charles and Kristen (Julia) Jeans, Rantoul and seven grandchildren, Katlyn Jeans, Jacob, Ian and Lucas Atkins, Mitchell and Morgan Hahn and Tristram Jeans and his mother, Sarah Jeans of Ash Flat, Ark. Also surviving are two sisters, Lyndah (Spencer) Bertram of Kingsport, TN and Michelle (Allan Dees) Hall of Keystone Heights, FL and one brother, Danny (Phyllis) Jeans of Poughkeepsie, Ark. Roger was preceded in death by his father, Leon in 2002.He was a United States Navy Veteran, having served during the Vietnam War era. Roger worked at Gunite in Rockford for many years. Later, he worked as a maintenance associate at Mitsubishi Motors in Normal for almost 25 years before retiring in 2013.He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Roger enjoyed spending his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
