Scott P. Connour Obituary (1974 - 2019)

Scott P. Connour, 45, of Heyworth, passed away at 10:04 a.m., Wednesday, November 27 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington surrounded by his loving family. His funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 4 at St. Mary's Church, Bloomington with Rev. Greg Nelson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bloomington. A celebration of Scott's life will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 3 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Memorials may be directed to Illinois Institute for Addiction Recovery at BroMenn, Chestnut Health Systems or OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Scott was born March 3, 1974 in Bloomington, the son of David and Betty Phelan Connour. He married Jessica S. Berglin on September 20, 1997 in Bloomington. She survives. He is also survived by two sons, Tyler and Travis; mother, Betty Connour, Heyworth; father, David (Becky) Connour, Bloomington; maternal grandparents, Pat and Rosalie Phelan, Bloomington; paternal grandparents, Loren and Imelda Connour, Bloomington; sister, Sarah (Brandon) Hastings, Sidney; brother, Kyle Connour, Boulder, CO and nephew, Ryan Hastings. He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Connie Phelan. Scott was a 1992 graduate of Central Catholic High School. He loved hunting, the outdoors and anything mechanical. He could fix anything, was always there to help anyone in need and never knew a stranger. Scott's two sons Tyler and Travis were the loves of his life. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
