Steven D. Sutter Obituary (1946 - 2015)

Steven D. Sutter, 69, of Hudson, IL, passed away at 2:15 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015 at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hudson United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Carnes officiating. Cremation rites will follow. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home in Bloomington and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Baby Fold in Normal, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Children) in Bloomington, or to his church.Steven was born February 21, 1946 in Bloomington, IL the son of Anthony and LaVerne Wheeler Sutter. He married Wanda J. Mc Fall on July 2, 1976 in Williamsville, IL. She survives along with one son Justin (Laura) Sutter of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren Jenna and Jayden; and three brothers Darrell Sutter of Normal, Vernon Sutter of Phoenix, AZ, and Floyd Sutter of Bloomington; and three sisters Julia (William) Gunderson of Peru, IN, Kay (Richard) Reihl of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Nancy Robert Daniels of Normal; Also surviving are aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents.Steven was a member of the Hudson United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of Lexington Highs School and Illinois Community College. He was a Firefighter for the Normal Fire Department for 26 years, drove a truck for various trucking companies and was an Auctioneer for several years. He enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.
