Susan M. Thoennes Obituary (1961 - 2022)

Susan M. Thoennes, 60, of Normal, passed away at 3:45 a.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in Normal. Her graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, January 24 at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bloomington. Susan was born October 1, 1961 in Bloomington, the daughter of Robert C. and Norma J. McMurray Thoennes. They preceded her in death. She is survived by a son, Sean (Kellie) Thoennes, of Bloomington, a granddaughter, Alexandra Thoennes and a great grandchild, Leland; ten brothers and sisters, Sandy Wilkinson, Jerry Thoennes, Bobby Thoennes, Ricky Thoennes, Patty McClure, Shirley Curtis, Carol Thoennes, Norma White and Laurie Davis, all of Bloomington-Normal and Jim Thoennes of Downs; and her significant other, Robert Lewis. Susan graduated from Bloomington High School and most recently worked as a restaurant manager. She was strong-willed, had a deep faith and loved her cats. Susan was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed.
