Theresa Sharon Finnigan Obituary (1959 - 2016)

Theresa Sharon Finnigan, 57, of Bloomington, passed away at noon Monday, December 5, 2016 at her home. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Normal. Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington, is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington, St. Marys Catholic Church, Bloomington, or to a charity of the donors choice. Theresa was born December 5, 1959 in Bloomington, a daughter of Loren F. and Thelma O. Strayer Finnigan. She is survived by three brothers, Bob (Cheryl) Finnigan, Jim (Doris) Finnigan and Ernie (Patty) Finnigan; two sisters, Judy (Larry) Scovel and Sandra (Charles) Franklin; her nieces and nephews, David (Elizabeth) Finnigan, Sophie (Chris) Craft, Monique (Mike) Reuter, Lisa Finnigan, Brian (Amy) Meiser, JoAnn McKeown, Mary (Shawn) Billo, Chris (Christy) Franklin, Jeff (Catherine) Franklin, Dawn (Mike) Hawkins, John (Kira) Finnigan, Kim (Ted) Hargis, Keith (Corey) Watts, Kelli (Bob) Switzer, Bethany (Trevor) Jackson and Katie Finnigan; and a host of great-nephews and great-nieces. Theresa retired from State Farm Insurance Companies after forty years of employment. She attended Wesley United Methodist Church, Bloomington. An avid gardener, Theresa loved to grow flowers and vegetables and enjoyed walking.
