Thomas Issac Bryson Obituary (1946 - 2016)

Thomas Issac Bryson, 69 of Bloomington, passed away at 1:32 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn. His memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2015 at Carmody-Flynn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or to the Illinois Heart and Lung Foundation. He was born May 25, 1946 in Quincy, a son of Benjamin Bryson and Lucille Barbara Patterson.Surviving are his partner of thirty-eight years, Michael Limacher of Bloomington; a sister, Leslie Cartwright of Racine, WI; two brothers, Arthur Bryson of Des Moines, IA and Eddie Bryson of Blue Island; three nieces, Dion (Daniel) Villareal, Angie Cartwright and Belinda Bryson; and a great-nephew, Marshaun Daniels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Grace and a brother, Elmer. Tom grew up in the ISSCS and graduated from University High School. He spent many years working in retail at Eagle and Best Buy and later worked at State Farm and Meijer. Tom was a notary public and enjoyed electronics, cooking and travel.
